• Haitian Red Cross

Founded in 1932, the Haitian Red Cross is one of the primary organizations responding to disasters in the country. Natural disasters, such as hurricanes, are very popular in Haiti, and cause a lot of damage throughout the nation. On January 12, 2010, following the massive earthquake that destroyed most of the nation’s capital and its surroundings, the Haitian Red Cross did not waste time to give a hand.  Due to the hard work and dedication given by the Haiti Red Cross, victims were quickly assisted and supported. • Haven Partnership

The Haven Partnership was founded in 2008 by Leslie Buckley, co-founder of Digicel, and his wife, Carmel. Haven, dedicated to building communities in provinces throughout the country, is also creating jobs as they hire local Haitians throughout the year to help with the construction. Since the January 12, 2010 earthquake, Haven has been working in Port-au-Prince, supporting the victims and providing emergency relief to the areas that were most affected.
